Maylis Perret – Event Coordinator

Fun fact about me: I’ve travelled to over 41 countries and lived in three.

Professional Achievements: Shortlisted for ‘Rising Star of the Industry’ at Tasmanian Hospitality Association Awards. Won the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics TCCI Corporate Internship Prize for Entrepreneurship.

A personal achievement for me, would be getting my International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) so that I could work on the Superyachts in Europe – being ‘green’ (not having any prior experience as a Stewardess specifically) makes it hard to enter the industry. I managed to land a job within two weeks of job hunting, after the season had already begun – as Chief Stewardess (highest role for the department) on board a 30m Catamaran which had French owners and I was expected to be bi-lingual in French and English.

Specialised skills: Upper Class professional hospitality experience – discretion and looking after high-profile clientele. Event Coordinator experience from small scale parties, to functions to weddings.

Amy Roberts – Marketing Coordinator

Professional Achievements: While studying a Bachelor of Communications, I was awarded a scholarship, an industry award for Storytelling Campaign, and the USC Leadership Award for my volunteering efforts upon graduation.

A personal achievement of mine is moving from Queensland and running my own marketing business in Perth, allowing me to develop my sales and leadership skills.
