Well the BAH hosted by Shine Aviation and Crammer & Neil was an outstanding success with 175 attendees, John from Shine spoke about Crammer & Neil as a great business and included several poorly veiled digs at Tony from Crammer & Neil, however the following safety presentation made by Tony about Shine Aviation assisted by our own Sarah was hysterical and certainly entertained everyone. Thank you gentlemen and your respective teams who attended on the night for a great start to our Business After Hours for 2018. Can we book you in for 2019??
We have seen quite a number of cruise ships in to our port, three on consecutive days which was outstanding. Bringing some 3800 passengers and crew disembarking for a day visit to Geraldton. I have heard some good reports from retailers. Great job Joanne from the Visitors Centre who is the Cruise Coordinator.
Last Friday I was asked to be part of a panel to judge a steak sandwich competition at the Freemasons, the selected judges were Barbara Thompson from RDA and Jack Hoskins from Lion, Beverly Clark from Freemasons and myself. Four sandwiches we presented with the winner to represent the Freemasons at a state competition in Perth, it will also be available on the menu. The winner was a creation now named the Harrison. So if you want to have a steak sandwich for lunch may I suggest a Harrison will do the job.
Progress Mid Wests Tourism Geraldton group this week finalised a letter to the government on how this group would like the development of this environmental asset proceeds. With care and correct investment in infrastructure to begin, before moving onto larger development.
I am pleased to remind members you are invited to a Business After Hours at Perenjori on this Thursday 15th March at the Perenjori Sports Club. It’s a great opportunity to meet the local Business people. Several car loads of members have indicated they will attend.
