Dear Members,

The days are now racing by and we at the Chamber are scrambling to utilise every minute. Last week saw the Chamber attend Cue Parliament along with representatives from Mid West Development Commission, Dept of Water, Dept of Health and Regional Development Australia.

Friday evening saw our annual Business After Hours at the TAFE, a great night showcasing the abilities of the Catering Dept, the Hospitality trainees and the opportunity to view the amazing art produced and exhibited by the students. We had a good turnout of 115, thanks to all who attended, it was a really nice evening. Our sincere thanks to the TAFE who hosted this event.

This Friday night we have the Boots N All Business After Hours event in Dongara. It begins at 5.30 – 7.30 and consists of a sausage sizzle, this is the second one we have run in Dongara this year and are hoping for a good turnout as last time, a number of our members are travelling down to network with other business’s and people. If you would like to register, please contact Chloe.

On the 12th Dec the Chamber in conjunction with the Mid West Development Commission are hosting a WALGA workshop on E quotes and how to engage in the Local Government tendering system. Numbers are restricted and so registration is essential to secure a place. Act now and make sure you have the opportunity to get the latest information.

In two weeks’ time we have our last Business After Hours for the year, this is our Christmas Markets event, its most probably our largest BAH event of the year. You need to register your attendance for this event. Also, great opportunities exist for businesses to promote themselves to our membership with taking a stall at this event. Small outlay great exposure. Sponsored by AWE and Panaceum.

Please remember that the Festive Season means enjoying each other’s company at the many celebratory events, but at the end of the night remember that driving whilst under the influence of alcohol is illegal. Please take care as no one wants to miss Christmas.
